This was a residential project for a client in the West side of London Ontario. It was a flat roof repair on a 2300sqft area, our largest residential project to date, so it was a 2 day project.
The roof had some moss growing in the roof, which we had to remove along with all the existing stone. A warning for you if you have moss growing on your roof – if you don’t do something about it, dirt starts gathering on the roof, then a root system develops and it will in time ruin your roof.
We cleaned off the roof to access the substrate, we went right down to the old felt especially in the mossy area, put new sopaboard down and base sheet. The weather was great considering it was early November. There were some old patch repair work done that we had to tie into.
We installed new drip flashing, which really finished off the project nicely.
